An entry level test for Chartered Accountancy course held twice in a year in May & November

CA Foundation is a test of four subjects :

1. Principle & Practice of Accounting (100 Marks)

2. Business Laws & Business Correspondence & Reporting (100 Marks)

3. Business Mathematics, Logical Reasoning & Statistics (100 Marks)

4. Business Economics & Business & Commercial Knowledge (100 Marks)

Passing criteria to clear CPT

Passing criteria is 40% marks in each subject with an overall aggregate of 50% Marks

Anyone who has cleared 10+2 standard examination conducted by an examination body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by the central government may write CPT
CA CPT (now replaced by CA Foundation)

An entry level test for Chartered Accountancy course held twice in a year in June & December

CPT is a test of four subjects :

1. Fundamentals of Accounting (60 Marks)

2. Mercantile Laws(40 Marks)

3. General Economics(50 Marks)

4. Quantitative Aptitude(50 Marks)

The papers consist of 200 MCQ’s with negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer

Passing criteria to clear CPT

30% marks in each subject with an overall aggregate of 100 out of 200 marks

Anyone who has cleared 10+2 standard examination conducted by an examination body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by the central government may write CPT

Group 2

8. Financial Management & Economics for finance

Passing Criteria to clear IPCC

Appearing group-wise: 40% marks in each subject + 50% marks in the aggregate of that group

Appearing for entire course: 40% marks in each subject + 50% marks in aggregate for all subjects taken together
